According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, approximately 157,000 people are admitted to the Emergency department every year because of injuries that happen in a shower or bathtub. According the same study, the risk goes up for individuals over the age of sixty-five.
As a person gets older, getting around can sometime become a little more difficult. Sore joints, arthritis and muscle pain can make bending down a slower process; everyday tasks can become a bit more trying.
